Extraction of impacted tooth (under general anaesthetic), swelling etc...?

Here is what usually happens. The pain and swelling peaks on the third day after the extraction. Then, barring any complications like a dry socket or infection, things will gradually get better on a day to day basis. Follow all the instructions you will get and take your pain pills if needed. I would take at least one and possibly two days off from school afterward. Good luck.
