Achilles tendinitis. what should i do?

Hey, im an avid runner (almost 100km a week). I have been long distance running almost everyday for the last 3 years and have become attached to the sport. its my favorite thing to do. recently (last two weeks) i have been experiencing pain in my heels, yet i have been running none the less. the pain continued to exist and yesterday i meet with a doctor. he informed me that i have an average case of achilles tendinitis. I am starting to flip out and become really nervous that this problem is chronic and will continue to haunt me with pain for the rest of my running days (which i hope to continue for a long time). if this problem continues to exist i would have no idea what to do with myself. Can anybody inform me of how to treat this (besides the obvious: icing, levitation, anti-inflamitories)? or instill some confidence in me that i will be able to regain my running everyday, 100 km a week status? Im very nervous cause everyday running is a part of who i am and losing that would be awful. Any treatment help? or bod of confidence would be much appreciated. Thank and have a good day ...
