Rock band trouble?

i am joining a rock band. i am a guitar player. but the thing is, i want to be the lead singer. but i'm too shy. i want to be the lead singer because i am so inspired by shaun morgan! he is the lead singer of the band called "seether". what should i do? i want to make a living out of idolizing my favorite singer shaun morgan. but i am just too shy. i think being a guitar player is cool but i want to be like shaun morgan. plus, people tell me that i look like him when i grow my beard and mustache.what do i do? idolizing him is something that i really want to do.
