Reccommened high school courses for career in political science?

All my life I've been interested in learning about the history of different countries including middle eastern countries as well as others. I like learning about their governmental systems and their military as well. I consider myself smart and a good student and have been called a leader my whole life by my teachers. Any school courses I should get into?
